LEADERSHIP

Since an early age, Brian has always been interested in the trades and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) field. He has worked in education in every level of secondary schools from elementary to high schools as well as local community colleges, and at the university level in both teaching and CTE administrator roles. Brian originally worked in the architecture and construction industry before coaching high school students, which allowed him to find his passion and enter the education field. Brian has a passion for CTE Grant Writing & Program Development and has most recently worked for a university level project creating new trainings, resources, and materials for CTE Teachers across the state in collaboration with the Illinois State Board of Education.  Brian has also served in a variety of leadership roles and been selected to fellowship & leadership roles in a variety of state and national CTE organizations as well as being a state and national award winner in CTE.  Brian enjoys volunteering to give back to his kids school district and works with young students to learn about STEM as well as spending time traveling and at home with his wife and two kids who are 6 and 9 years old.  He also has a passion for connecting students to careers and helping guide and mentor new instructors on their journey into education.
